With the basketball area tournaments just ending and the sub-regional games just finishing up this week, I decided to take a look at where and when championship games, sectionals and other games would be taking place.
Basketball:
Originally the dates for the state basketball tournaments were scheduled for Feb. 26 through March 1 at the BJCCC in Birmingham.
Those dates had to be changed due to a scheduling conflict and will now be held beginning Monday, Feb. 25 through Feb. 29.
The 4A games will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 for semi-final action and the championship game will be held Feb. 29 at 9 a.m.
Tennis:
Tennis sectional will be April 22 at LBW in Andalusia for the girls and the state tournament will be held May 1-2 at the Mobile Tennis Center.
Boy's action will be April 24 at LBW for sectionals and May 1-2 for the championship games at the Mobile Tennis Centers.
Softball:
Softball sectionals will be held May 2 for 4A action and May 6 for sub-state games.
Baseball:
Baseball state championship games will be held Wednesday, May 14 at 1 p.m. Championship games for baseball will be held Thursday, May 15. All games will be at Patterson Field in Montgomery.
Outdoors track:
Outdoor track events will be held April 25-26 for sectional events for class 4A and will be held at McGill-Toolen High School in Mobile. State events will be held in Gulf Shores at the City Municipal Track May 2 and 3.
Golf:
Golf events will be held April 28 at Montgomery's Lagoon Park.
