Mrs. Lillian McMillan Anderson, 68, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008. She was a native of Monroe County and a resident of Brewton. She was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Johnnie Freamond and Willie Jean McMillan; a sister, Pastor Erma Meikle; a brother, Joe Lewis McMillan and one brother-in-law, W.C. Rivers.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Lee Anderson; two granddaughters, Renia (Willie Earl) Travis and Jenny (Herman) Farrish; one grandson, Emanuel (Evett) Lane, all of Brewton; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lottie Rivers and Ozzie (Robert) Crook, both of Monroeville; five brothers-in-law, Victor Meikle of Winston, Conn., Willie Anderson of Summerdale, O'Lester Anderson and Eugene Anderson, both of Brewton, and Robert Anderson of Skinnerton; five sisters-in-law, Dorothy Davis, Margaret Anderson, Minnie (Joe) Prime and Quintella (Lonzo) Patrick, all of Brewton and Nevella Richardson of Repton, other special friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 16, at 2 p.m. at Second Saint Siloam Baptist Church with the Rev. W.J. Blue officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
