The City of Brewton's dilapidated houses committee is moving forward with plans to clean up blighted areas, despite not receiving a grant for the project.
Earlier this year, the city allocated $10,000 for the project.
Committee Chairman and Councilman William McGhee said city employees will begin today looking at areas in each council district to determine what needs to be torn down.
