Mr. Comer Franklin Bonds, 69, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Range. He was a member of Ramah Primitive Baptist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Repton and was retired from Container Corporation with 36 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Bonds; his mother, Ora Mae Bonds; and two brothers, Roger Bonds and Larry Bonds.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Chavers Bonds of Range; two sons, Reggie (Tammy) Bonds and Scott (Katherine) Bonds, both of Flomaton; a daughter, Sonia Bonds of Range; a sister, Gwenolyn Watson of Kempner, Texas; and three grandchildren, Jake Bonds, Ashley Bonds and Hunter Bonds.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Greg Smith officiating. Burial followed in Ramah Cemetery in Range with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
