Raines inducted into athletic club

Former T.R. Miller High School baseball standout Baxley Raines has been inducted into the Troy University Athletic club.
Raines, in his first year at Troy, will be red shirting on the Trojan baseball team during the 2008 season.
In order to be inducted into the Trojan Athletic Club, athletes must maintain at 3.0 GPA for the fall semester.
Raines earned a 3.462 for the fall 2007 semester.
The inductees were recognized during halftime of the Troy and University of Arkansas-Little Rock basketball game.
Raines was one of 191 student-athletes who posted the 3.0 or better GPA during the fall semester.
The athletes represent all 18 sports at Troy University, as well as the cheerleading squad. Not including the 18 cheerleaders, 88 male student-athletes and 85 female student-athletes were included in the induction.
