Mr. Ralph S. Montgomery, 84, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at a Pensacola health care facility. He was a native of Chaplin, Ky., and a resident of Flomaton since 1948. Before retirement, he had worked for Western Auto as a service repairman. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Flomaton Pentecostal Holiness Church and the American Legion in Brewton.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Violette Montgomery of Flomaton; a son, Clark Montgomery of Fairhope; and a daughter, Veronica Montgomery of Flomaton.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 8, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Homer Stewart and the Rev. Leonard Howell officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Park Cemtery in Brewton, with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
