Heroes are continuing to work toward a $25,000 goal for the East Escambia Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Cold temperatures forced the cancellation of Saturday's golf tournament, but golfers presented their donations to the fundraiser.
According to campaign chairwoman Emmie Jernigan, approximately $2,000 was donated as a result of the golf tournament activity.
Several other events are planned this week as the campaign winds down, Jernigan said.
A car wash continues for the group at Webb's Auto Sales, Jernigan said.
Brewton Elementary and Middle Schools, as well as T.R. Miller High School, St. Stephen's Pre-school, YMCA children and other heroes have completed fundraising activities.
