Mrs. Jynelle Gillis Williams, 85, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, in a Durant, Okla., health care facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Pleasant Home and a long time resident of the Brewton/Andalusia area before moving to Mead three years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mead Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Dane) Edwards of Mead and Dianne (Ken) Gibson of Spanish Fort; a step-son, Eugene Williams of Mobile; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Caylor officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
