Mr. Raymond David Taylor, 78, of Oak Ridge Place, died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and long-time resident of Covington County, and a resident of Brewton since 1951. He was a retired insurance sales manager with Independent Life with 30 years of service. He had served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Brewton Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann Taylor of Brewton; a son, Michael (Sharon) Taylor of Edmond, Okla.; a daughter, Debbie Taylor McDonald of Brewton; and four grandchildren, Catie McDonald (Ben) Shannon of Madison, Wis., Anna Taylor, David Taylor and Joseph Taylor of Edmond, Okla.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 24, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Pete Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
