What was built to be a playhouse may now be part of a hunting camp if Randy Joyner's wishes come true.
Joyner was the winner of a log cabin playhouse, valued at $3,500, given away Friday to culminate a fundraiser by the East Escambia Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The cabin was built by Lou Como, a local building contractor, to help with raising funds for the local Red Cross Chapter, Martin said.
Martin said the money raised from the sale of tickets to be drawn will go directly into the coffers to assist with single-family fire assistance.
Other winners in the Friday afternoon drawing were Devin Wilson, who won a basket of items valued at $125, and Dianne McKenzie, who was the winner of a $50 Wal-Mart gift certificate.
The drawing generated donations of more than $3,000. To make a tax-deductible donation to the East Escambia Chapter of the American Red Cross, call Martin at the local office at 867-3426 or mail to 1014 Douglas Ave., Brewton, AL 36426.
