Mrs. Evelyn Andrews Baas, 77, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at her residence. She was a native of Jay, Fla., but had lived most of her life in Century where she worked for many years as the manager of Bill's Dollar Store. She was of the Baptist faith and attended the Flomaton First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Paula (Rick) Hammond of Century; two sisters, Eveline Hollingshead of Century; Helen Williams of Walnut Hill, Fla. and two grandchildren, Aaron and Abby.
Visitation will be held tonight, March 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Flomaton Funeral Home chapel.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 27, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Jerry Keese officiating. Burial will follow at McCurdy Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Bill Williams, Robert Henderson, Randal Hollingshead, Roye Moye, Raymond Peebles and Allen Stacey. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Hammond, Jeremy Stacey and Dillon Diamond.
