Mrs. Inez Farrell Paulk Johnson, 85, died Friday, March 21, 2008, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Ashford and a life long resident of Escambia County. She was of the Assembly of God faith and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy Johnson and Huey Johnson.
She is survived by a son, George Amos (Jo) Johnson of Lexington, Tenn.; three daughters, Retha (Gary) Reeves of Castleberry, Faye Butts and Martha (Ray) Harden, both of Flomaton; a brother, John Paulk of Dothan; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Johnson of East Brewton; nine grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 24, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Skidmore officiating. Burial followed at Douglas Chapel Cemetery in Damascus, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
