Mrs. Sue Langley Peevy, 80, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a volunteer for the Red Cross, a former employee at the Brewton Flower Shop and a retired environmental specialist with D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husbands Horace Langley and Malvin T. Peevy.
She is survived by two daughters, Beth (Terry) Jenkins of East Brewton and Susan O'Bannon of Gautier, Miss.; a stepson, John Ivey Roberson of Brewton; two stepdaughters, Paulette Hudson of Bay Minette and Cathy Perryman of Mobile; two grandchildren, Suzanne (Anthony) Shipp and Bucky (Felicia) Carter; one great-grandchild, Kannan Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 27, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Scott officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
