Mrs. Mary E. McDonald Williams, 88, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, in a Mobile area nursing facility. She was a native of Escambia County and had lived most of her life in the Brewton area before moving to Mobile five months ago. She worked in insurance sales for a number of years, and was a member of London Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Daisy Whitehead; and a brother, Floyd Whitehead.
She is survived by four daughters, Carolyn Raines and Shirley May, both of Decatur, Norma Jean Sessions of Mobile, and Jeanette Stewart of Brewton; a sister, Cupidine Drennon of Brewton; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, April 2, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in London Baptist Church Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
