You can get your fill of pancakes and help some great local charities thanks to the Greater Brewton Area Lions Club's annual pancake breakfast Saturday.
The event will be held at Brewton First United Methodist Church from 7 to 10 a.m. Both dine-in and carry-out meals will be available. The price will be $4 for adults, with no charge for children under the age of 12. The meal will consist of pancakes, Conecuh sausage, Leroy Hill coffee, orange juice and Dairy Fresh milk. Tickets may be purchased from any Lions Club member or at the door.
Jim Harvey, a member the Lions Club Board, said the pancake breakfast is an event that has been taking place annually for the last several years.
The event raises funds for the projects of the club throughout the year.
Club members also work with other charities, also. They work with Habitat for Humanity and provide an annual scholarship to Jefferson Davis Community College for a student from both T.R. Miller High School and W.S. Neal High School.
