A collision between a vehicle and a CXI train sent Donald Johnson of Flomaton to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
Escambia County sheriff deputies responded to the scene of an accident in Pollard at about 11:45 a.m. Monday.
According to state troopers, who are handling the investigation, Johnson, 53, was crossing the train track when the accident occurred. The 1995 Ford pickup he was driving was struck by the train at Elizabeth Street in Pollard.
The driver of the vehicle was carried by Life-Flight to Sacred Heart Hospital. According to Trooper Pete Dacosta, who is investigating the incident, Johnson suffered non-life threatening injuries and no drugs or alcohol were involved.
