The streets of downtown Castleberry will be filled with the aroma of fresh strawberries Saturday, April 19 as the residents and visitors gathersfor the 22nd annual Strawberry Festival.
Events get underway at 9 a.m. with a variety of activities planned throughout the day.
The event will feature an array arts and crafts presented by vendors from across the south.
Entertainment will be provided throughout the event which is scheduled to end at 5 p.m.
There is no admission charged for the day-long event that will feature a plentiful harvest of fresh strawberries.
Vendors will be on hand offering a variety of foods, beverages and other refreshments throughout the day.
Touting intself as the strawberry capital of Alabama, Castleberry is located on U.S. 31 North. From I-65 South, take exit 63 and travel 6 miles to downtown.
