Little League teams pick up wins

In a recent Brewton Little League game between the Blue Jays and Reds, the Reds took an 8-5 win.
For the Blue Jays, Cole Blackmon took the loss on the mound. Offensively for the Blue Jays, Ethan Tyree had two singles. Cole Blackmon and Joshua Winton scored on errors.
Ethan Bollenbacher walked and scored a run in the Blue Jays loss.
Brewton Red Sox 13,
Brewton Blue Jays 0
The Brewton Red Sox (4-0)had a decisive 13-0 victory over the Brewton Blue Jays Monday night. Andrew Brown struggled on the mound for the Blue Jays allowing seven runs in the first inning. Troy Hart pitched four innings for the win for the Red Sox.
Tripp Floyd started the second inning with a double for the Red Sox. Tyler Holmes hit a double, and then scored on errors in the third inning to increase the Red Sox lead.
 
Brewton Reds 11,
Brewton Mets 5
The Brewton Reds topped the Brewton Mets 11-5 in a Monday night game.
Jordan Williams started the Reds off with a single in the first inning. Will Smith followed up with a double with both scoring on an error.
Michael Mitchell struck out two in the first inning for the Reds leaving Ty Purvis and Brooks Brown stranded on base.
Landen Salter started the second inning with a single. The Mets rallied in the third
inning scoring five runs. In the fourth inning the Reds answered back with five runs of their own.
Brewton Angels 3,
East Brewton Yankees 2
The Brewton Angels defeated the East Brewton Yankees 3-2 in an 11/12-year-old game on Monday night.
Dominique Jackson and Zac Griffin combined for a one hitter with 12 strikeouts on the mound.
Jackson was credited with the win, while Griffin earned the save. Jackson completed three and 1/3 innings and allowed one of the Yankee runs before being relieved by Griffin who pitched two 2/3 innings to complete the game. Tyler Joyner took the loss for the Yankees in a complete game allowing fours hits, nine strikeouts and no walks.
Darby Black led the Angels at the plate going 2-for-2, with a home run, a single, one RBI and one run scored. Dominique Jackson was 1-for-2 with a single and a stolen base.
Ryan Gray was also 1-for-1 with a single and one RBI. Keaton Parker and Dylan Etheridge both had one run scored.
Tyler Joyner led the Yankees at the plate going 1-for-3 with a single and one run scored. Brandon Carmichael also had one run scored. Damion Williams was 1-for-3 with a single.
The win for the Angels improved their record to 3-1 on the year, while the Yankees fell to 1-3 on the year.
Brewton Diamondbacks 16, Flomaton Hurricanes 4
The Brewton Diamondbacks struck down the Flomaton Hurricanes 16-4 Monday night. Chavers from Flomaton started the game with a single.
Chandler Brown started the Diamondbacks on their road to a win with a double to centerfield.
The rest on the Brewton lineup followed his example ending the first inning with 12 runs scored.
Flomaton scored trying to comeback but were only able to score two runs in the second inning. The Diamondbacks scored four more runs in the second inning. Flomaton was able to hold the Brewton team from scoring further, but never able to come back.
The Hurricanes got on top in the top of the first inning with two runs scored. In the bottom of the first the Diamondbacks came roaring back with seven runs.
The Hurricanes added two more runs in the top of the first but the Diamondbacks extended the lead in the bottom of the second adding six more runs making the score 13-4.
The Canes did not get anything going in the top of the third and Rob Stokes put the game out of reach with a homerun in the bottom of the third with Jones Manning on base.
The Diamondbacks added one more run and Hunter Harp came in to close the game out in the top of the fourth with the Canes being held to no more runs. The 10-run rule ended the game with the Diamondbacks on top 16-4.
Stokes was 2-for-2 as Chandler Brown was 2-for-2. Keion Smith was 2-for-2 with Lowell Swain going 1-for-1.
Brewton Pirates 5,
East Brewton Dodgers 0
The Brewton Pirates shut out the East Brewton Dodgers 5-0. Silas Tucker singled pitches past the Dodgers for 12 strikeouts and the win. 
Dylan Godwin pitched one and half innings for East Brewton allowing three runs. Quantae Barksdale relieved him to finished the game.
Caden Lodge slugged out a triple for the Pirates in the fifth inning. Todd Mayo and Chris Jones quickly came behind with singles scoring two runs.
East Brewton 9/10 Cubs 12, Flomaton Two 2
In Monday action in East Brewton, the East Brewton Cubs defeated Flomaton Two 12-2.
Dalton Shell picked up the win allowing one run on two hits and struck out eight while walking four.
Duane Hamby allowed one run and one strikeout while walking four. Matt Hutchins struck out one.
Offensively, Zack Williams was 3-for-3 with two singles, a double and one run scored.
Hamby was 1-for-3 with a single and a run followed by a 1-for-1 showing by Matt Hutchins and Tyrese Anderson. Hutchins scored two runs and had a single. Anderson had a single and a run.
