Business expo, job fair set in Mobile

With current and expected growth in industrial facilities in South Alabama, job fairs and expos are being made available for those who wish to enter the workforce of those industries.
On May 2, South Alabama Regional Planning Commission and the City of Mobile will team up for the tenth annual Business Expo/Jobs Fair will be held at the Mobile Civic Center. The event is planned from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free admission to the public.
According to organizers of the event, more than 135 businesses will be represented with individuals available to discuss job opportunities and receive resumes.
In addition to accepting resumes, business will have the opportunity to showcase and market their products and services to those who attend and participate in the day-long event.
If history of the Business Expo/Jobs Fair event is any indiciation, the event will receive between 4,000 and 5,000 visitors to the booths. The event will also provide fresh ideas and answers to a multitude of employment questions.

The event is a community service provided free of charge by the SARPC and the City of Mobile.
The Commission is an instrument of local government. It is locally organized and locally controlled. Through communication, planning, policymaking, coordination, advocacy and technical assistance, the Commission serves its member governments and citizens of the region. It also provides a forum for member government representatives to discuss and resolve common problems, especially those that transcend political boundaries.
