Mr. Joseph T. “Buddy” Ball, 66, died Sunday, April 27, 2008, in a local hospital. He was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County, and was of the Baptist faith. He worked in the logging industry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Ball; his parents, Jake and Addie Ball; and a sister, Evelyn Thompson.
He is survived by two sons, Tim (Melissa) Ball and Rodney Ball, both of Andalusia; a brother, George Ball of Brewton; three sisters, Delois Clifton of Vancleave, Miss., Carol Overstreet of Brewton, and Annette Davidson of Andalusia; and one grandson, Brenton Ball.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 30, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Greer officiating. Burial followed at Elim Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Wes Murphy, Ricky Janes, Ted Wilson, Jeff Kirkland, Jimmy Boutwell, Johnny Franklin, Buddy Crenshaw and Adam Sexton. Honorary pallbearers were Buddy Herrington and Bill Herrington.
