Mrs. Eva Mae Southwell Carden, 80, of Welka Road, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, in a Pensacola medical facility after an extended illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County. She was of the Baptist faith and a retired seamstress from Judy Bond with 49 years of service.
She is survived by her husband, Winford Carden of Flomaton; a brother, Willie (Clarice) Southwell of Brewton; cousins, Robert and Jerry Simmons; nieces, Donna Watson and Pam Southwell; and nephews, Tex Scott, Randy Scott, Tony Scott, and Jerry Southwell.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 6, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Herring officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Castleberry, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
