Rockies currently in first in Babe Ruth standings

The 2008 Brewton Babe Ruth season began in the area last week. The current standings in the league are the Rockies 2-0, Indians 2-1, Tigers 2-1, Rays 2-1, Royals 0-2, and Cardinals 0-3.
Indians 3, Tigers 2
After taking a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and taking a 3-0 lead in the top of the fifth, the Indians had to hang on after the Tigers scored two runs in the top of the seventh to claim a 3-2 win.
Trevor Diercks led the Indians at the plate with a 2-for-3 showing and an RBI as Josh Palmer and Wes Maddox were both 1-for-3. Palmer added an RBI in the win for the Indians.
Joseph Strength took the win on the mound for the Indians as he went the complete seven inning game and allowed two runs on six hits and walked three and struck out nine in the win.
For the Tigers Ryan Hunt took the loss on the mound. Hunt went three innings and allowed two runs (none earned) on two hits and walked one and struck out four. Blake Blackmon and Conner Denton also pitched for the Tigers in the loss.
Caleb McAnally led the Tigers at the plate with a 3-for-3 showing. Conner Denton, Jaren Jackson, and Michael McGaha were all 1-for-3 in the loss as McGaha and Blake Blackmon both had the lone RBIs in the loss.
Rays 17, Cardinals 0
Wil Riggs pitched a two hitter for the Rays as the Rays pounded out 11 hits and the Cardinals committed eight errors in a 17-0 win for the Rays.
Riggs went five innings on the mound and allowed no runs on two hits and struck out 11 while walking six.
Harrison Horton, Ryland Dixon and Jeremy Myers all were 2-for-3 at the plate for the Rays as Dixon had an RBI in the win with a homerun.
Dylan Bell was 1-for-4 in the win with three RBIs as Reid Johnson was 1-for-4 with two RBIs.
Lead 7-0 after four innings of play, the Rays scored 10 runs in the fifth inning to win 17-0.
For the Cardinals, Brian Settle had the only two hits in the game for a 2-for-2 offensive day.
Settle took the loss on the mound as he went three innings and allowed four runs on five hits and two strikeouts while walking three.
Tigers 7, Cardinals 1
Ryan Hunt was 3-for-4 on the day with one RBI as the Tigers defeated the Cardinals 7-1.
McAnally was 2-for-4 with two RBIs as Jaren Jackson and Jacob Fillmore were 1-for-3 with Tyler Etheridge going 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Chase Kaylor earned the win by pitching six innings and allowing one run on three hits and striking out three and walking two.
For the Cardinals, Settle, Logan Williamson and Brett Smith picked up the Cardinals' three hits in the game. Christian Lodge picked up the lone RBI for the Cardinals.
Gary McGraw took the loss on the mound for the Cardinals. McGraw went four innings and allowed seven runs (five earned) on six hits and struck out five and walked five in the loss.
Indians 6, Rays 4
The Indians picked up a 6-4 win over the Rays Tuesday night. Joseph Strength was 2-for-4 on the day with four RBIs to lead the Indians in the win. Wes Maddox followed with a 2-for-4 showing and two RBIs. Monterius Culliver was 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Hunter Mullins picked up the win on the mound for the Indians as he went five innings and allowed one run (none earned) while allowing three hits and four strikeouts and three walks.
For the Rays, Ryland Dixon was 3-for-3 as Wil Riggs was 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Dylan Bell took the loss on the mound for the Rays as he went three innings and allowed five runs (three earned) while allowing two hits, four strikeouts and three walks.
Rays 10, Cardinals 4
After defeating the Cardinals 17-0 earlier in the season, the Rays took a 10-4 win over the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Dylan Bell, Reid Johnson, Ryland Dixon, Jeremy Myers, and Bryant Jernigan all were 1-for-3 for the Rays in the win as Wil Riggs was 1-for-2 with four runs scored. Horton, Bell, Dixon, and Myers all had an RBI apiece as Johnson had two in the win.
Bell, Dixon and Meyers all pitched in the win for the Cardinals.
For the Cardinals, Logan Williamson led the Cardinals with a 2-for-3 showing and one RBI. Collin Graves, Christian Lodge and Josh Thompkins were all 1-for-3 as Graves and Tompkins all had RBIs. Gary McGraw was 1-for-2 with an RBI in the loss.
Tyler Dehoff, Graves and Brian Settle all pitched for the Cardinals in the loss.
Tigers 9, Indians 2
Conner Denton was a perfect 4-for-4 on the day with two RBIs and a homerun as the Tigers took a 9-2 win over the Indians.
Jacob Fillmore was 1-for-4 with two RBIs in the win as Chase Kaylor was 1-for-1 with one RBI.
Denton, Fillmore, and Ryan Hunt all pitched in the win for the Tigers.
For the Indians, Monterius Culliver was 2-for-3 for the Indians as Josh Palmer was 1-for-2 to get the other hit for the Indians.
Joseph Strength and Josh Palmer both pitched in the loss for the Indians.
Rockies 9, Royals 4
Ed Hines was a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBIs in the Rockies 9-4 win over the Royals.
Devlin Crosby and Tyler Sawyer were both 2-for-4 along with Cody Bradley's 2-for-4 showing and two RBIs.
Keith Bradley took the win for the Rockies as he went five innings and allowed four runs and eight hits while striking out eight and walking two.
Eli Tyree took the loss on the mound for the Royals as he allowed seven runs in three innings and allowed eight hits and struck out two and walked four.
Trent Robinson was 2-for-2 in the win as Hayden Cooper and Bradley Brown were both 2-for-3. Brown had an RBI in the loss.
Rockies 8, Royals 7
In their second game against each other, the Rockies defeated the Royals 8-7 Tuesday night.
Keith Bradley took the win on the mound for the Rockies as he went 3 1/3 innings allowing two runs (none earned) on two hits while striking out one.
Hayden Cooper took the loss for the Royals as he went 3 1/3 and allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits and struck out seven and walked one.
For the Rockies, Keith Bradley was 3-for-4 at the plate with one RBI as Dan Smith was 2-for-3.
