Darby Black tosses no-hitter for Angels in 11-1 win over Flomaton

The Brewton Angels defeated Flomaton 11-1 in an 11/12-year-old game on Friday night.
Darby Black threw a no hitter in a complete game going only four innings, due to the ten run rule. Black faced only 15 batters and allowed one run, with eight strikeouts, one hit batter and two walks.
Black helped himself at the plate going 2-for-2, with two singles, a walk, two RBI's and two runs scored. James Peach 1-for-2, with a single, a walk, and one run scored.
Trin Miller went 1-for-2 with a single. Dominique Jackson was 1-for-2 with a single, one walk and two runs scored.
Ryann Gray went 1-for-1 with a double, one walk, and two runs scored. Keaton Parker was 1-for-2 with a single, a walk, one RBI and one run scored.
Tyler Reid had a walk and one run scored, while Zac Griffin had two runs scored.
The win for the Angles improved their record to 8-4 on the year, while the Flomaton fell to 2-9 on the year.

Brewton Diamondbacks 8
The Brewton Angels defeated the Brewton Diamondbacks 9-8 in an 11/12-year-old game on Thursday night. Dominique Jackson and Zac Griffin combined on the mound for a four hitter, allowing eight runs, 12 strikeouts and five walks.
Jackson started the game and went 4 1/3 innings before being relieved by Griffin. Keion Smith was the starter for the Diamondbacks and was relieved late in the game by Luke Agerton. Smith and Agerton allowed nine runs on seven hits and recorded seven strikeouts and allowed four walks.
Dominique Jackson led the Angels at the plate going 2-for-4, with a single, a double, one RBI and three runs scored. Trin Miller was 2-for-2 with two singles, a walk, and two runs scored.
Darby Black was 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI's and one run scored. Zac Griffin was 1-for-2 with a double, one walk, one RBI and two run scored. Dylan Etheridge went 1-for-3 with a single and one run scored.
Keion Smith led the Diamondbacks at the plate going 1-for-2, with a triple, a walk, one RBI, and one run scored. Jones Manning was 1-for-4, with single and two runs scored.
Hunter Harp went 1-for-2 with a single and a walk. Lowell Swain went 1-for-2 with a single and one run scored. Rob Stokes had two runs scored, while Paxton Reiss and Carter Frezell both had one run scored.
The win for the Angels improved their record to 7-4 on the year, while the Diamondbacks fell to 6-5 on the year.
EB Yankees 4, Brewton Pirates 2
The East Brewton Yankees pulled one out over the Brewton Pirates 4-2.  Cameron Easterling pitched for the win with 11 strikeouts.
Kellyn Wynn started the game for the Pirates and was relieved by Caden Lodge.
Trey Salter started the game off with a single to right field. Chris Jones soon followed up with a double down the third base line bring in the run.
The Yankees quickly shut them down ending the first inning with the Pirates in the lead. Tyler Joyner began the Yankee rally in the third inning with a well-hit double to left center field. Cameron Easterling hit a single to right bringing in two runs.
Caden Lodge battled back in the fifth inning with a hard hit triple into right center field. Todd Mayo quickly brought him in with a double. Again Cameron Easterling shut the Pirates down from the mound.
Miles Powell singled to left at the bottom of the fifth. Tyler Joyner walked and both runners were able to score on a single hit by Brandon Carmichael. The Pirates were unable to come back at the top of the sixth.
Mike Powell went 1-for-3, with a single. Tyler Joyner went 1-for-2 with a double.  Cameron Easterling went 2-for-2 with singles. Branden Carmichael went 1-for-3 sixth a single.
Trey Salter went 1-for-3 with a single. Caden Lodge went 1-for-3 with a triple. Todd Mayo was 2-for-3 with a single and a double. Chris Jones was 1-for-3 with a double.
Walker Harris was 3-for-3 with three singles.
Brewton Diamondbacks 15, Brewton Pirates 2
The Brewton Diamondbacks shut down the Brewton Pirates 15-2. Keion Smith took as pitcher with four strikeouts.
Todd Mayo and Trey Salter shared the loss as they struggled from the mound.
The Pirate's Caden Lodge hit a double to start the Pirates off. Duncan Brittain followed with a single. The Diamondbacks struck back quickly.
Rob Stokes hit a triple to left then managed run it on in to home. Keion Smith tripled in the second with bases loaded. Kyle Cooper hit a double and a single in the second inning.
Dedrione Lee knocked the ball to the left field fence for a triple in the third to bring in two runs. Chandler Brown came behind him with a single Lowell Swain swung for a double to bring in another run. The Pirates were unable to rally.
Rob Stokes was 2-for-3 with a triple and single. Keion Smith was 1-for-2 with a triple.
Dedrionne Lee was 1-for-2 with a triple.
Chandler Brown was 1-for-1 with a single. Lowell Swain was 1-for-1 with a double. Kyle Cooper was 2-for-2 with a double and single.
Caden Lodge was 1-for-2 with a double. Silas Tucker was 1-for-2 with a single. Duncan Brittain was 1-for-2 with a single.
Brewton Red Sox 11,
Brewton Reds 1
Troy Hart got the win on the mound for the Red Sox as they defeated the Red 11-1. Lane Clark and Trippe Floyd came in relief.
At the plate, Lane Clark was 2-for-4 as Jonathan Lucus was 3-for-4, and Trippe Floyd was 4-for-4 with a triple. With the win, the Red Sox improved to 9-1.
Brewton Red 18, EB A's 6
The Brewton Reds tripled up the East Brewton Athletics Tuesday night as they won 18-6.
Jake Nolan and Drew Williamson combined for a three hitter for the Reds and struck out seven in the win.
Offensively for the Reds, Markel Marshall was 1-for-2 as Will Smith and Chris Gehman were 1-for-4 and 1-for-3 respectively.
For the Athletics, Colton Young, Jordan Madden and Lane Chavers were all 1-for-2 win the loss with singles.
Chavers, Colton Morris, Marcus Simmons and Young also combined for a three hitter on the mound in the loss.
EB Yankees 8, EB Dodgers 7
Tyler Joyner allowed five hits and seven runs while walking none and striking out 10 and went 2-for-3 for the Yankees as they defeated the East Brewton Dodgers 8-7.
Cody Carter was 1-for-2 for the Yankees in the win at the plate.
For the Dodgers, Dylan Godwin and Quantea Barksdale combined for a three hitter and 12 strikeouts n the loss.
Nick Laster, Alex O'Keane and Jared Salter were all 1-for-2 in the loss as Salter had a double. Mike Williams and Dylan Godwin were 1-for-3 as Godwin had a double.
EB A's 14, EB Braves 5
Although they had only one hit in the game, the A's defeated the Braves 14-5. Lane Chavers picked up the lone hit for the A's with a 1-for-2 showing.
Colton Young and Colton Morris picked up the win on the mound for the A's as they went the complete game and allowed four hits and five runs while walking five and striking out eight.
For the Braves, Derrick Barton, Joseph Adams, and Cameron Taylor all combined for a one hitter in the loss.
Taylor, Dalton Shell, Kaeli Brown and D'maiya Barton were all 1-for-1 in the loss.
EB A's 11, EB Cubs 6
The East Brewton A's defeated the East Brewton Cubs 11-6 Monday night.
Lane Chavers and Colton Morris pitched in the win for the A's.
Chavers allowed three hits and five runs while walking five and striking out seven. Morris allowed one runs and four walks while striking out two.
Chavers was 2-for-2 in the win as Morris was 1-for-2 with a triple and Riley Fore was 1-for-3.
For the Cubs, Dalton Shell, Duane Flowers and Malcolm Hawthorne all pitched in the loss.
Offensively for the Cubs, Quinn Riley and Zack Williams were 1-for-1 win the loss as Williams had a triple. Hawthorne was 1-for-3.
EB Yankees 4, Flomaton 2
In 11 and 12-year-old action, the Yankees defeated the Flomaton team 4-2 Monday night.
Tyler Joyner, Miles Powell and Damion Williams all had doubles in the win.
Cameron Easterling, Brandon Carmichael, Cody Carter and Derrick Frasier all had singles in the win.
Tyler Joyner and Rob Jones both pitched in the win for the Yankees.
Joyner allowed three hits and three runs while walking one and striking out 12. Jones allowed no hits and one runs on four walks and two strikeouts.
Little League action for both Brewton and East Brewton Little League continues in the area on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in the area.
Games are played at the Brewton YMCA Sports Park in Brewton and R. T. Johnson Pakr in East Brewton.
