Mrs. Margaret Edwards Shipp, 75, of Williamson Street, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, in a Pensacola medical facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Range, and a life long resident of East Brewton. She was a member of Brewton First Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mance and Emmie Edwards; and her brothers, Lawrence Edwards and Newton Edwards.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Leonard Shipp of East Brewton; a daughter, Donna (Micky) Flowers of Brewton; sons, Dale Shipp, David (Regina) Shipp, and Dennis (Barbara) Shipp, all of Brewton, and Darrell (Ella) Shipp of Staunton, Va.; a sister, Mary Johnston of Range; eight grandchildren, Heather, Amber, Anthony, Tiffany, Michael, Jason, Jennifer and Shannon; and 10 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kaden, Allison, Nathaniel, Duane, Dawson, Nicholas, Emily, Alex and Gabriel.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 13, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Fitts and the Rev. Ron Headley officiating. Burial followed at Hartwood Methodist Church Cemetery in Range, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
