Mrs. Pauline McKenzie, 55, of Brewton died Friday, May 9, 2008, at a local hospital. She was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Brewton. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School and attended Southern Union Junior College. She worked with her daughter and son-in-law at Main Event.
She is survived by five children, Tonya (Randy) Nicholson, Terrance Heath, Terrez McKenzie, Jeneiri (Antonio) Johnson and Rhonda McKenzie, all of Brewton; three sisters, Martha Cook and Patricia (Leonard) Vine of Lafayette and Mary Lou (Charles) Willis of Opelika; seven grandchildren, Dylan and Aaron Nicholson and Ivory and Myles Johnson, all of Brewton, Kelsey Heath of Lafayette, Jernez and Jalen McKenzie of Birmingham; an uncle, Amos Gunn of Lanett; an aunt, Ethel Gunn of Five Point; one great-uncle, Alton Tucker of Atlanta; two special friends, Lillie W. Bowman and Tiffany Jackson; and many other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 16, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Lafayette, with the Rev. Gary L. Dixon officiating. Burial followed at Hondy Cemetery in Lafayette, with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
