The coaches out at Jefferson Daivs Community College have been hitting the recruiting trail very hard as of late.
Softball and volleyball coach Misti Nims has signed recruits for the upcoming 2008 and 2009 seasons while JDCC head baseball coach Darrell Blevins has been recruiting for the 2008-2009 baseball season. Both coaches have listed recruits for their particular sports as followed:
JDCC Baseball:
JDCC head baseball coach Darrell Blevins has signed 12 players from the 2008 Warhawk team and has added 10 freshmen to the 2009 team.
Incoming freshmen that we have signed include:
Andrew Favant RHP from Smith Station, Ryne Phillips OF/RHP from Smith Station, Harry Haring LHP/IF from Auburn, Michael King RHP/OF from Auburn, Taylor Register OF/C from Auburn, Blake Long RHP/IF from Auburn, Tanner Hensley LHP/OF from Charles Henderson, Chance Lawrence OF/C from Opelika, Kyle Whitfield RHP from Milton, and Reid Wynn C from Bay H.S., Panama City, FL.”
JDCC Volleyball:
Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball and softball coach Misti Nims has been busy hitting the recruiting trail as of late and has signed six volleyball prospects and is looking to add more accompanied by some walk-ons.
Making the list for volleyball recruits that have been signed are:
Samantha Ball (OH/DS), Emily Sandlin (MH), Apryl Crawford (RH/S), Sydney Boutwell (DS), Lauren Himel (S), and Rena Hollinsworth (S).
She is a great kid who is a right side hitter. She will also set some for us. Boutwell is from Baker, FL and also attended Baker HS. She is a great kid who is a hard worker.
She is all over the floor and great passer. Himel is from Mandeville, LA and attended North Lake Christian. She is a great setter and should be our starter.
She can also hit. Hollingsworth is from Walnut Hill, FL and attended Northview HS. She is a great kid with a lot of potential.”
