UA announces graduates

The University of Alabama awarded 2,781 degrees during spring commencement held recently on the University's campus in Tuscaloosa.
With this graduating class, The University of Alabama has awarded more than 204,000 degrees since its founding in 1831 as the state's first public university.
Six Brewton residents were conferred with degrees during the recent commencement exercises.
Earning master's degrees from the University were Sarah B. Ellis and Irene Johnson.
Those students earning bachelor's degrees were Thomas Trenton Evans, Amanda R. Holland, Clayton W. Lisenby and Timothy S. McGhee.
