Mrs. May Kay Horn Owen, 67, died June 9, 2008. She was a native of Bay Springs, Miss., a former resident of Laurel, Miss. and a resident of Lawrenceville. She was a musician, a Registered Nurse and a self-taught artist.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert S. Owen of Lawrenceville; three sons, Timothy (Karol) Owen of Webb City, Mo.; Joel (Melanie) Owen of Auburn and Jonathan (Robin) Owen of Lawrenceville; a daughter, Jana (Steve) Roper of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, Bill (Linda) Horn of Huntsville; a sister, Beckie (Ranny) Day; and her grandchildren, Claire Owen, Samantha Owen, Janie Owen, Matthew Owen, Ryan Thompson, Kaitlyn Roper, Kristopher Roper and Samuel Roper.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 11, at 2 p.m. at Tom Wages Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
