Ready for a big bowl of blueberry ice cream and some blueberry cobbler? How about a stroll through unique vendors offering wares of every kind, or a trip on a merry-go-round for your child, or a listen to some local talent?
The Alabama Blueberry Festival will open Saturday morning with something fun for everyone.
For those who like to say Brewton has nothing to do, Saturday's festival is the answer to your prayers.
The festival draws visitors from all over the region, and Brewton residents should be flocking to Burnt Corn Creek Park as well.
Are you a big fan of the Andy Griffith Show?
Two North Carolina actors will bring back memories with their impersonations of Gomer Pyle and Barney Fife.
Looking for some magic in your life? A roving magician will perform tricks for the crowd.
Need a sweet treat? Members of the Brewton Kiwanis Club will be dishing up traditional festival dishes of blueberry cobbler and blueberry ice cream shipped in especially for this event.
And if you just want to enjoy some of the sweetest blueberries around, the star of the show will be for sale in pints, crates and even on blueberry bushes.
Brewton actually does have a lot to do throughout the year, but the Alabama Blueberry Festival is our showcase event.
We hope that everyone will take the opportunity to enjoy blueberries, music, dancing, shopping and children's activities Saturday.
