Mr. Johnnie Haveard Jr., 79, died early Sunday, June 22, 2008, in a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of McClelland, Fla., and a life-long resident of East Brewton. He was a member of Cedar Hill Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Champion Paper Company with 39 years of service.
He is survived by a son, Bo (Beverly) Haveard of Brewton; two daughters, Judy Haveard (Hank) Riddle of Brewton, and Sandra Haveard (Wayne) Nall of East Brewton; two brothers, Pete (Betty) Haveard of East Brewton and Gene (Lodean) Haveard of Cantonment, Fla.; a sister, Margaret (Jessie) Stagner of Mobile; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. James Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
