Cynthia Rodgers of Brewton recently received the Pharmacy Technician of the Year Award at the Alabama Pharmacy Association (APA) Annual Convention and Trade Show held in Biloxi, Miss. at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino.
This award is presented in recognition of dedicated service and commitment to excellence by a pharmacy technician who has been actively involved in APA. The recipient is honored for exceptional leadership skills and service to the pharmacy profession.
Rodgers was instrumental in getting the Pharmacy Technician Section of the Academy of Pharmacy Practice  going again and served as Pharmacy Technician Section Chair to insure continued involvement by members. She took the initiative to contact other pharmacy technicians and motivate them to become involved in APA resulting in record attendance at this year's Annual Convention. Rodgers is efficient and dependable, her attention to detail is an asset as is her ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with consistent accuracy.  Rodgers, known as an exemplary employee, works at Medical Center Pharmacy in Brewton.
