All-Stars beat two

The Brewton 10-and-11-year-old Little League All Stars opened up their tournament in East Brewton on Tuesday with a 15-5 win over Andalusia and then picked up their second 10-run mercy rule win of the tournament on Wednesday night with an 11-1 win over Covington County.
Covington County and Andalusia were scheduled to play each other with the winner advancing to play Brewton and win twice and the loser going home.

Brewton 15, Andalusia 5
In their opening round game against Andalusia, the Brewton All Stars scored 11 first inning runs, eight with no outs, to defeat Andalusia 15-5 Tuesday night.
James Peach took the win on the mound for the Brewton All Stars, as Tyler Reid was 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Brewton. Jones Manning and Chris Jones were both 2-for-4 in the win at the plate and Keaton Parker and Todd Mayo were 1-for-4.
After scoring 11 runs in the first inning, Andalusia cut the lead to 11-3 in the top of the third inning and to 11-5 in the top of the fourth inning before Brewton score four runs in the fourth to take the 15-5 win in four innings.
In the first inning, Keaton Parker started the game with a single and Jones Manning followed by getting hit-by-pitch. An Andalusia error on a Chris Jones hit was followed by a walk to James Peach.
Todd Mayo then singled and Tyler Reid followed with a single as Hunter Harp and Trinn Miller all reached base before the first out was recorded.
After batting around, Parker reached on a walk and Manning singled. Chris Jones followed with a single and Mayo walked.
Tyler Reid added the last hit of the inning as Brewton claimed the 11-0 lead.
After having their lead cut to 11-5, Brewton scored four runs in the fourth on two hits, one by Dylan Etheridge and one by Manning, and benefited from three walks to claim the 15-5 win.
Brewton 11, Covington Co. 1
Luke Agerton went the complete game four innings allowing only two hits and one walk while striking out eight to help Brewton to an 11-1 win over Covington County Wednesday night and stay in the winners bracket.
Brewton took an early 1-0 lead after two innings of play before Covington County scored their lone run in the top of the third inning.
Brewton then scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning and needed four runs in the fourth inning to claim the 11-1 win.
Brewton got the four runs needed in the inning for the mercy run win as the went to 2-0 in the tournament and needing only one win for the district championship.
Keaton Parker and Chris Jones both were 2-for-3 in the win with Parker having one RBI.
Jones Manning went 1-for-3 in the win with a triple. Trinn Miller added a hit in the game along with Dylan Etheridge's two RBI hit. Kellyn Winn also had a hit in the game.
After scoring one run in the second inning, Parker led off the third inning with a single and manning tripled him in to give Brewton a 2-1 lead.
Jones then singled to score Manning as the Brewton All Stars scored six runs in the inning to take a 7-1 lead.
In the fourth inning, Jones and Miller singled back-to-back as Mayo and Hunter Harp walked. Etheridge then singled to score the final two runs of the game as Brewton won 11-1.
