Mr. Marvin E. Holt, 84, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at a local hospital. He was a native and life long resident of the Flomaton community. He worked for 37 years at St. Regis and Champion Paper Company as a power-house superintendent. He attended Flomaton Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Idell Minchew Holt.
He is survived by two sons, Robert (Linda) Holt of Flomaton and Gary (Anne) Holt of Pace; and two grandchildren, Christopher Holt and Natalie Holt.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 5, at 10 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Homer Stewart, the Rev. Ricky Hart, and the Rev. Leon Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Danny Holt, William Roberson, Travis Roberson, Bobby Minchew, James Evans and Raymond Evans. Honorary pallbearers were Quinn Miller, Preston Hardy, W. T. Gafford, Leon Holt, Sonny Fore and Dan Holt.
