After winning their first two games in the 9-and-10-year old Little League tournament in East Brewton, the Brewton All Stars were knocked out of the tournament after suffering their second straight loss with a 9-6 loss to Covington County on Saturday.
Brewton was sent to the losers bracket after a loss to Opp and fell to Covington County in the losers bracket to end their run.
Brewton took an early 3-0 lead after the top of the first but fell to six runs in the bottom of the first to Covington County to fall behind 6-3 at the end of the first inning of play.
Brewton quickly cut the lead to one run at 6-5 in the top of the second and held Covington County scoreless in their half of the second inning.
But things changed in the third inning after Brewton was held scoreless as Covington County scored three runs to claim a 9-5 lead.
Brewton would later score one run in the top of the fourth inning to cut the lead to 9-6, but that would be the final run of the game as Covington County took the win by a score of 9-6 and eliminate Brewton.
