Mr. Marvin Earl Kimmons Jr., 53, died Friday, July 4, 2008, at a medical center in Columbus, Ohio. He was a native of Byrneville, Fla., and had been a resident of Century, Fla. for a number of years before moving to Ohio several years ago where he worked in the plumbing business. He was of the Holiness faith and was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Earl Kimmons Sr.; and his sister, Debra Crawford.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Knoblauch of Whitehall; his mother, Eleanor Kimmons of Century; three sons, Marvin Earl Kimmons II of Century, and Bradley Kimmons and David Kimmons, both of Pensacola, Fla.; two daughters, Tessie Kimmons and Randi Kimmons, both of Pensacola; three brothers, Benny Kimmons of Jay, Fla., Thomas Kimmons of Pensacola, and Joseph Kimmons of Century; two sisters, Mary Williamson of Jay, and Rhonda Daw of Atmore; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Gay and the Rev. Wallace Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Dewayne Kimmons, Curtis Carnley, Zack Tolbert, James Emmons, Hoyt Mack and Roger Jackson.
