Jefferson Davis CC to hold camp in July
Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball coach Misti Nims has scheduled a volleyball camp for the week of July 21-23 at the JDCC gym.
The camp is open to ages 8-18 and will run from 4- to 6 p.m. each day of the week. Cost of the camp is $30 if paid before July 21 and $35 on July 21.
The camp must have at least 10 campers for the camp to be held. Camp sessions are designed to improve the fundamental skills of volleyball.

Football stringers needed for 2008
Anyone interested and wanting to help out as a football stringer for the 2008 season, please email sports@brewtonstandard.com for information. Knowledge of sports and journalism is a plus.
Stringers will be paid for games they attend. Stringers will be asked to attend and cover football games the sports editor is unable to attend and will be required to write game stories and compile stats from the game. Photography skills will also be a plus for those interested in the stringer position.

EB Youth Football to hold registration
The East Brewton Youth Football teams will hold registration for ages five through 12 with a session set for Friday, July 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. and again Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Registration will be held at the W.S. Neal Elementary School. Cost is $40 for one child, $35 per child with two children in a family and $30 per child with three or more children in a family.
YMCA to hold swim camp and soccer
The Brewton YMCA, along with Sports coordinator Darly Curry, has announced sports dates for the upcoming 2008 season.
The YMCA swim camp will be held July 21-24 from noon to 2 p.m. each day.
Fees for the camp are $20 for YMCA members and $35 for non-members. The camp is open for ages five to 18.
Registration began Monday and will be held through the beginning of the session. Those interested may register at the Brewton Area YMCA offices locatedon Belleville Avenue.
The YMCA soccer season begins August 18 for ages K4 to eighth grade.
