Mrs. Charline Braswell Lundy, 71, of College Drive, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, in a Pensacola hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Winter Garden, Fla., and a former resident of Jacksonville, Fla., before moving to Brewton in 1957. She was a member of Alco Baptist Church. She was formerly employed with Brewton Flower Shop and D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital, and was a co-founder of Small Motors Unlimited. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lundy; her mother, Leamon Braswell; and a sister, Faye Jernigan.
She is survived by a son, Zackery (Kelley) Lundy of Brewton; a daughter, Shawn Lundy of Brewton; a sister, Bobbie (Tommy) Ryals of Brewton; a brother, Henry (Joni) Braswell of Brandon, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Kassie Lundy, Jake Dixon, and Gracee Dixon.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 18, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Fitts officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
