The Escambia County Extension Office through the 4-H and Youth Development Program recently held a Dog Care Daycamp recently at the Brewton YMCA.
More than 30 campers, ages 9-12, turned out each morning of the three-day event to learn about dog health, nutrition, obedience, training, and other important facts about owning a pet.
Campers also got to watch professional working dogs with their handlers in action.
Those who helped make this event a success include: Brewton YMCA, Drug Task Force, Humane Society, Fountain Correctional Facility Tracking Dog Program, and Extension Personnel.
