Mrs. Ramona Johnson, 60, died Sunday, July 27, 2008, at a Baldwin County health care facility after an extended illness. She was a native of New Braunfuls, Texas, and a former resident of Arlington, Texas, before moving to Stockton. She was of the Baptist faith and a cosmetologist. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Priscilla Ann Johnson.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Chunn of San Antonio, Texas; her husband, Charles Johnson of Stockton; two sons, Jerry (Deborah) Johnson of Royse City, Ala., and Daniel (Connie Deal) Johnson of Lenox; two brothers, Dennis Pape of Merkle, Texas and Mickey Pape of Cisco, Texas; three sisters, Sandy Coffee of Benbrook, Texas, Kay Wright of San Antonio, and Ardel Stewart of Burleson, Texas; a step-sister, Mary Ann Chunn of Austin, Texas; a step-brother, John Chunn of Dallas; a half-brother, Kenneth Denmark of College Station, Texas; and nine grandchildren, Jerika Johnson, Virginia Leigh Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Christian Johnson, Delaney Johnson, Justin Noe, Jacob Noe, and Jerren Noe.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 30, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Boatwright officiating. Burial followed at Brushy Creek Cemetery in Lenox with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
