The 2007 season for the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball program was a learning experience for the whole team.
The team was young and first year volleyball head coach Greg White was new to the game. While the team went 16-8, White saw some things he needed to change.
During the summer months, the Lady Tigers have been in preparation for the 2008 season, which will begin soon along with practice on Monday.
White said the girls did weights and Pilates during the summer for their workouts along with conditioning and skill work.
While there have been some good things and White has been pleased, one negative has hit the team.
With Morgan hurt White says Elizabeth (Nelson) and Teralyn Moore should step on in for her.
While the loss of Hubbard was a blow to the team, a new face will be on the team this year.
Janel McCorvey also stepped up and played a lot last year after injuries and White said he looks for her to anchor the middle for the team this year.
After team camp this past week, Monday starts the official day of practice for the Lady Tigers.
Overall, after the end of summer workouts, White was pleased with what he saw.
