E.B. candidate indicted: Wood denies charges from grand jury

A candidate for mayor in East Brewton has been indicted on charges of receiving stolen property and impersonating a police officer, but Al Wood on Saturday denied those allegations.
Wood said he turned himself in to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office after hearing about the indictment handed down by an Escambia County grand jury last week. The charges are considered Class C felonies, which carry a punishment of between one and 10 years in prison and no more than a $15,000 fine.
