The Escambia County Commission is working hard to ensure funding for vital services in the county. During Monday's regular meeting of the commission, several grant applications were approved to seek funding.
Grant applications will be submitted on behalf of the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force and the Escambia County Domestic Violence Crime Unite.
Also during Monday's meeting, the commission approved the relocation of the Little Rock polling location.
Sanks said the voting place had been at the Little Rock Grocery Store prior to Hurricane Ivan.
