Although details remained sketchy Thursday, an unidentified man was injured in an industrial accident at a junk yard located at 7070 Bethel Road.
According to witnesses, the man was working on a car-crushing device when the accident occurred.
D.W. McMillan Ambulance Service responded to the call just before noon Thursday. After evaluating the patient, LifeFlight was called to the scene to transport the patient to a Pensacola, Fla., hospital.
The identity of the injured man was not immediately available. No information concerning his condition was available Thursday afternoon.
