Worker injured in car-crushing device

A Thursday afternoon call sent paramedics and other emergency personnel to a junkyard on Bethel Road.
According to information from the Escambia County Sheriff's office, 54-year-old John Keller was injured while working on a car-crushing device at Tyree's junkyard when the accident occurred. He is employed with Doggett Car Crushers.
EMS workers with the D.W. McMillan Ambulance Service responded to the scene along with the Escambia County Fire and Rescue Squad. Following evaluation by EMS works, Keller was flown by Life Flight to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
Information concerning the condition of Keller was unavailable at press time.
