Mrs. Dollie Ann McNeil, 68, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at a Pensacola hospital. She was a native of Haleyville, and a former resident of Carrollton, Ken., before moving to Brewton 22 years ago. She was retired from WalMart in Brewton and attended the Little Escambia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert McNeil; and a son, Jerry Dale Floyd.
She is survived by two sons, Donny (Wanda) McNeil of Atmore, and James Marion McNeil of Brewton; a brother, J.W. Bankston of Birmingham; four sisters, Nelda Neal of Flomaton; and Oledith “Sadie” Oliver, Lavrette Sabatino, and Dorothy Baxter, all of Haleyville; two grandsons Jeremy McNeil and Jonathan McNeil, both of Atmore; and two great-grandsons, Jaecoby McNeal and Joshua McNeil, both of Atmore.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 31, at 4 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Hogg officiating. Burial followed at Rock Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Corey Flowers, Brent Bell, Wyman Neal, Andy Marez, Matt McGhee and Pony Banda.
