Ouida Dell “Blue Eyes” Martin Stringer

Mrs. Ouida Dell “Blue Eyes” Martin Stringer, 85, of James Mill Road, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, in Mobile after a brief illness. She was a native of Linden and a long time resident of Castleberry before moving to Grand Bay. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Stringer.
She is survived by a daughter, Dell (Mayer) Perloff of Mobile; two stepdaughters, Essie Mae (Ronald) Coleman of Grand Bay and Barbara Ann Weaver of Semmes; three stepsons, Preston (Faye) Stringer and Albert (Barbara) Stringer, both of Semmes and Leonard (Becky) Stringer of Brewton; a brother, Cecil Martin of Thomasville; a sister, Mary Frances Martin of Gadsden; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at New Hopewell Cemetery in Castleberry with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Vince Allen, Shawn Allen, Tony Makin, Mitchell Stringer, Jonathan Zirlott and Chip Monk
