It has been said that to determine how a certain team will do in a season is to see how they change from week one to week two.
After a close 22-21 win over Escambia County in week one, the T.R. Miller Tigers easily handled the Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors 48-19 in week two last Friday in Brewton.
While the blocking and tacking may have been an issue in Riggs’ eyes, the Tigers used some big defensive plays against the Warriors to get their first region win of the season.
This week, the Tigers take on Bayside Academy which is 2-0 overall and 1-0 in region. It is the second straight week the Tigers take on a team from the Mobile area.
Bayside is coming off a 48-14 win over Calhoun last week. The Admirals return eight starters from a 5-5 team last season with two on offense and six on defense.
Another thing Riggs pointed out from Bayside was the Admiral kicking game.
Game time between the Tigers and the Admirals is set for 7 p.m. at Brewton Municipal Stadium.
