WSN Lady Eagle volleyball splits, now 3-2

The W.S. Neal Lady Eagle varsity volleyball team went 2-2 in recent action to improve to 3-2 on the season and the JV team went 0-2 to drop to 1-2 on the season.
The varsity Lady Eagles defeated Jackson 3-2 in a five-game set to get their first area win of the season, lost to Flomaton 2-0, lost to Jay 2-0, and defeated Central 3-1.
The JV team lost to Flomaton 2-0 and Central 2-0.
The Lady Eagles were set to play at Northview on Tuesday and then will be off until next Tuesday when they take on T.R. Miller in Brewton with a varsity and junior varsity game at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, in a varsity only game, the Lady Eagles will take on Central at 3 p.m. and then have a home game against Flomaton beginning with a JV game 4 p.m. and the varsity at 5 p.m.
W.S. Neal 3, Jackson 2
In the varsity game against Jackson, the Lady Eagles picked up their first area game win of the season with a 3-2 win over the Lady Aggies.
W.S. Neal lost game one 29-27, won game two 25-19, lost in game three 25-23, won game four 26-24 and then won game five 15-3.
In game one, Sydney Andrews led with six service points and Casey Wilson and Megan Pence followed with five service points.
In game two, Amanda Crawford led with six service points and Brandy Shell followed with five.
In game three, Andrews led with seven and Shell had five. In the game four win, Shell led again with six and Wilson had five. In game five, Andrews led with nine and Wilson had six.
Flomaton JV 2, W.S. Neal JV 0
Against Flomaton in JV action, the Lady Eagles fell 25-15 and 25-14. In game one, Britta Wood had five service points. In game two, Athena Davis led the Lady Eagles with five service points.
Flomaton 2, W.S. Neal 0
In varsity action against Flomaton, the Lady Eagles fell 25-21 in game one and 25-19 in game two.
Andrews led with five service points and Crawford and Shell had four. In game two, Shell and Crawford led with four.
Jay 2, W.S. Neal 0
Against Jay, the varsity Lady Eagles lost 25-13 in game one and 25-22 in game two. In game one, Andrews led with six service points and in game two, Shell led with seven service points and Pence led with five service points.
Central JV 2, W.S. Neal 0
Against Central in JV action, the Lady Eagles fell 25-19 in game one and 25-23 in game two.
In game one, Britta Wood led with nine service points and Brittany Burch had four.
W.S. Neal 3, Central 1
In varsity action against Central, the Lady Eagles won 3-1. The Lady Eagles lost game one 25-13, won game two 25-18, won game three 25-23 and won game four 25-21.
In game one, Shell led with four service points, in game two, Brittany Revel led with five service points along with Casey Wilson and Shell who also had five. In game three, Shell had 10 service points and in game four Shell had six as Caitlyn Blackman led with seven.
