TRM v-ball continues to win

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball team pushed their record to 6-1 over the week with 3-0 wins over Escambia County and Pleasant Home.

After losing their first game of the season to Flomaton, the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball team continued their current win streak and pushed it to five Tuesday night with a 3-0 win over Escambia County. The win improved T.R. Miller to 5-1 on the year.
The Lady Tigers took game one 25-16, game two 25-15 and game three 25-15.
In game one, Brandi Kennedy led the Lady Tigers with nine service points, followed by Janel McCorvey who had six service points.
In game two, McCorvey had six service points, and Elizabeth Nelson had 11 service points in a row.
In game three, Kennedy had eight service points, and Natalie Neal had seven service points.

Pleasant Home 0
On Thursday, the Lady Tigers improved to 6-1 with a 3-0 win over Pleasant Home. The Lady Tigers won 25-12 in game one, 25-20 in game two, and 25-17 in game three.
T.R. Miller head volleyball coach Greg White said he is so proud of the team after the way they have played since opening the season with a loss to Flomaton.
In game one, the Tigers opened up a 2-0 lead and the took the game to a 7-1 lead behind four service points and three aces from Elizabeth Nelson,
The Lady Tigers then took a 9-4 lead and extended it to 15-4 behind Taylor Guthrie's six leading service points.
From there, the Lady Tigers put it in cruise control and won 25-12.
In game two, after falling behind 8-4, the Lady Tigers fought back and tied the game at 17-17 and then took a 20-17 lead behind Natalie Neal who lead with five service points in the game. Guthrie then closed the game with four straight service points as the Lady Tigers won 25-20.
Guthrie had two kills and Janel McCorvey had three kills and Leigh Margaret Bostic added a kill in the win.
In game three, after tying the game at 5-5, Neal added five straight service points and three aces to claim a 10-5 lead.
McCorvey then had five straight to build a 16-6 Lady Tiger lead en route to the 25-17 win for the lady Tigers.
The win pushed T.R. Miller to 6-1 on the season and the Lady Tigers will face W.S. Neal at home on Tuesday at 4:30 with JV beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Brewton.
