BMS football gets first win

After a 6-6 game at halftime, the Brewton Middle School Tiger football team scored 24 third quarter points to defeat Earnest Ward 36-6 Tuesday night at home and earn their first win of the season.
The seventh graders opened the game for both teams playing a 10-minute, no stoppage quarter and fell 8-0 to Earnest Ward.
In the eight grade game, Eric Maye had 76 yards rushing and one touchdown and Jamal Spears added 73 yards and a touchdown to help lead Brewton to the 36-6 win.
Kameron Coleman added 23-yard rushing and a touchdown and T.J. Jones had a 20-yard touchdown in the win.
Brewton will take on Straughn Thursday at home at 6 p.m.
